PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The server is responsible for accurately taking guest orders and ensuring the proper presentation and timing of all food and beverages served.
  • Opening and closing guest checks while adhering to proper cash handling procedures is essential.
  • Experience with computerized Point of Sale (P.O.S.) systems is required.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with the expediter, bartender, server assistants, and management.
  • Moderating guest requests and conveying special instructions to the kitchen and management is crucial.
  • Observing guests to anticipate their needs and exceed their expectations is expected.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the menu and wine pairings is necessary to address questions regarding substitutions, omissions, and food allergies.
  • Providing recommendations with the aim of upselling to enhance the overall dining experience is encouraged.
  • Executing all table-side preparations efficiently and in accordance with training standards is required.
  • Familiarity with the restaurant's seating chart, table numbers, and seat assignments is important.
  • Welcoming guests upon arrival and maintaining a positive rapport throughout their dining experience is essential.
  • Offering, describing, and presenting daily specials and items of interest to guests is part of the role.
  • Participation in pre-meal meetings is expected.
  • Completing all necessary side work during the shift or as directed by management is required.
  • Monitoring assigned tables to provide ongoing service and anticipate guest needs is crucial.
  • Providing feedback to management regarding compliments, issues, or complaints is important.
  • Familiarity with service standards is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including weekends and holidays, is necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fine dining is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Effective communication with guests in English is necessary.
  • TIPS alcohol certification is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Full mobility is required for the entire duration of the shift, including walking, standing, bending, stretching, and lifting.
  • Ability to use stairs and/or service elevators is necessary.
  • Must be able to safely lift, carry, or otherwise move items weighing up to 30 lbs.
