About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Desktop Support Services Intern to join our team. As an IT Support Services Professional, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT support and troubleshooting. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to learn and grow with our organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Desktop Support Services Intern, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Installation and maintenance of personal computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Installation and configuration of personal computers and printers (network and desktop).
  • Diagnosing computer and network problems on-site or by assisting help desk staff with user telephone consultations.
  • Upgrading of computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Receipt and distribution of new computer equipment.
  • Testing new operating systems and software titles for interoperability and functionality with existing systems and software.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

Technical Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical degree program.
  • Basic hardware knowledge.
  • Windows 10/11 operating system.
  • Office365 suite.
  • Software skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills.

Soft Skills:
  • Ability to multi-task and work within time constraints.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Problem-solving skills.
