**Per Diem Day Shift Opportunities**
Join our team at SURGICAL HOSPITAL OF OKLAHOMA LLC as a Registered Nurse in our Med-Surg department. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care on a per diem day shift basis.
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced RN to work in our Post Surgical Unit. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures.
- Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
- Participate in the identification of clinical or operational performance improvement opportunities and assist in performance improvement activities.
- Maintain the environment of care, including equipment and other material resources.
- Participate in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate assistance or educational offerings.
- Support the development of other staff and formal learners.
- Communicate the organization's vision, mission and values. Observe hospital, nursing and departmental policies and procedures relating to safety.
- Successfully complete Annual Hospital Core Competency Verification and Annual Nursing Competency Verification.
- Respond correctly to emergency procedures, chemical spills, internal and external disaster plans and procedures.
- Report incidents to Department Manager and accurately complete incident reports according to procedure in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Oklahoma RN License
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS preferred
- Experience on a med/surg floor-preferably with experience dealing with post-surgical patients
- Prefer RN with ortho experience
- Emergency Department experience helpful, but not required
Work Schedule:
Per Diem day shifts are needed (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
