Job Summary

As a Senior Avionics and Electrical Technician at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems on aircraft. You will work closely with the team to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency in all installations and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform operational and functional tests on avionics and electronic systems to ensure defect-free aircraft.
  2. Provide direct training to personnel to support company cross-training goals and ensure a skilled workforce.
  3. Teach the installation and functional testing of electrical and avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  4. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshoot, and teach troubleshooting processes to provide timely and quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  5. Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  6. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  7. Ensure that all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented.
  8. Enforce the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Six (6) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four (4) years related experience.
  3. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  4. Other FCC License preferred.
  5. Other NCATT preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations and repairs.
  2. APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred.
  3. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
