Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide essential support for a male client experiencing dementia and anxiety.
Work Schedule: The caregiver will work on weekends from 9 PM to 9 AM and during the week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 PM to 3 PM.
Key Requirements:
- Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy
- Must possess a valid driver's license or state ID
- Have a car or reliable transportation
- Valid car insurance is required
- Must have a Social Security card (no tax ID)
- Professional and skilled caregiver experience is essential
- Ability to pass a background check
Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and assist with transportation needs, utilizing tools such as a gait belt or Hoyer lift.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and daily living activities, including showering, dressing, and eating.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
- Support mobility within the home and during outings, such as doctor appointments.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
- Conduct shopping for clients or accompany them as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Report any unusual incidents and respond promptly in emergencies.
- Engage clients in activities that promote daily living skills.
Compensation: Pay rate ranges from $17 to $19 per hour, depending on experience.
