Position Overview:
Amergis Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a specialized role within a correctional environment. This position involves providing essential nursing care to individuals in custody, ensuring their health and safety while adhering to facility protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Corrections LPN, your duties will include:
1. Utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients/inmates.
2. Coordinating referrals to medical professionals, including physicians and mental health specialists.
3. Monitoring and reporting any changes in patients' physical and psychological conditions.
4. Collaborating with registered nurses to adjust care plans based on evaluations and treatment effectiveness.
5. Documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments.
6. Ensuring a safe and effective healthcare environment by monitoring equipment and surroundings.
7. Participating in infection control measures and staff training as required.
8. Adhering to all facility policies and security protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
- At least one year of experience in a correctional setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of professional nursing standards and practices.
- Completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
- Current CPR certification and health clearance as required.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
