Senior Systems Engineer/Analyst

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer/Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing cybersecurity risks and ensuring that information systems meet the necessary security requirements to protect critical data and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide and support engineering program/project management activities, including risk identification, analysis, handling, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Assist customers in performing planning and engineering analysis for the evolution of assigned projects.
  • Define and maintain top-level system architectures and program engineering requirements, and assist in translating those requirements into system concepts and plans from a cybersecurity perspective.
  • Prepare and document security inputs for operational afloat and ashore systems throughout the system's life cycle.
  • Identify and categorize sensitive information that requires protection to maintain technological advantage, operational security, and program effectiveness.
  • Perform and document requirements analysis, risk analysis, technology assessments, or other security-related studies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or ten (10) years of demonstrated knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to Navy major weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems program, cybersecurity, and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Ten (10) years professional systems engineering experience with a DoD major strategic, platform, weapon, combat, Command and Control (C2), cyber, and/or fire control systems program, with five years' concurrent experience as a team leader performing system engineering and mission engineering efforts that include developing requirements and top-level designs and/or system architectures for software-intensive systems.
  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
