Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Spacecraft Operations Team Lead to join our team at Columbus Technologies. As a key member of our Ground System and Mission Operations (GSMO-3) contract, you will be responsible for providing Flight Operations Leadership, Launch and Early Orbit Activity Preparation, and support of successful Mission goals for the On-Orbit Servicing, Assembly and Manufacturing (OSAM-1) Mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Flight Operations Leadership for the OSAM-1 Mission, including daily operations and decision-making.
  • Develop and implement Flight Operations Team training and certification programs.
  • Support Ground Element testing, Mission End-to-End testing, and Mission Readiness testing.
  • Collaborate with Mission Operations Managers, Ground System Managers, Mission Directors, and external teams to ensure successful mission execution.
  • Develop and maintain Flight Operations Team shift staffing profiles, shift handover processes, and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience with 10+ years of progressively complex spacecraft mission development experience.
  • Experience as a Spacecraft Flight Operations Lead, Flight Director, Launch Rehearsal Manager, or Mission Operations Manager on NASA, NOAA, or other space missions.
  • Knowledge of GSFC software, including ASIST, MPS, SNAS, STK scheduler, iTACS, Freeflyer, and Integrated Trending and Plotting System.
