Job Title: Desktop Support Technician III

At Florida Orthopaedic Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician III to join our IT team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our customers, resolving complex software and hardware issues, and collaborating with our engineering teams to implement new processes and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve advanced software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and software applications.
  • Assist support desk technicians with troubleshooting and documentation of steps and processes.
  • Take ownership of issues, carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes.
  • Accurately record, update, and document requests using our IT service desk system.
  • Work with engineering teams to implement new processes and IT equipment.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring all customers are treated efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels.
  • Create, maintain, and publish relevant support documentation to assist staff and students.
  • Exhibit a flexible approach to working on a rotating basis and provide necessary coverage.
  • Participate in the Annual Performance Development Review Process.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support role or equivalent.
  • A+ Certification is required for this role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Mac client operating systems and various software packages.
  • Excellent IT skills and computer literacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to demonstrate practical troubleshooting and problem analysis techniques.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to show initiative.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload without supervision.
