Housekeeping Associate Role Overview

The Housekeeping Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guests' rooms and public spaces. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service and quality while working closely with the Housekeeping Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by responding promptly to guest complaints, special requests, and ensuring corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of room status, including notifying supervisors when service is completed, and reporting any rooms unable to be serviced according to established procedures.
  • Assist with laundry duties, monitoring supplies and equipment, operating washers and dryers according to hotel standards, and folding and storing clean linens.
  • Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisors, promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety services.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 pounds, and use commercial cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical abilities are necessary.
  • Fluency in English is preferred; additional languages are beneficial.
