Job Summary

VHC Health is seeking a highly skilled Imaging Support Specialist Analyst, PRN to join our team. As an Imaging Support Specialist Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging support systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate telephone communication systems to provide timely and professional support to patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Answer multi-line phones, take messages, and page physicians and staff as needed.
  • Triage calls and route them to the appropriate personnel and department.
  • Perform and maintain a variety of duties consistent with the workflow of the reading room, including checking in, organizing, uploading, and preparing radiological exam films from outside facilities.
  • Ensure that all patient information is present and accurate, and release medical information to requesting parties in a timely manner.
  • Process all requests in accordance with applicable hospital and departmental policies, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Technical aptitude with basic knowledge of computer functions, hardware, and software, with the ability to troubleshoot minor computer issues.
  • Familiarity with medical information systems such as HIS, RIS, PACS, EMR, and voice recognition applications.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimum supervision, with a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
  • One year experience in the healthcare field and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred, or a year of diagnostic imaging experience and information technology are preferred.
  • Proficient in the reading, writing, and speaking of the English language, required.
Working Conditions

Works in a well-lighted/ventilated office setting, subject to frequent interruptions. Willing to work beyond normal working hours when requested to do so. Minimal occupational exposure to infectious diseases, blood borne pathogens, hazardous chemicals, noxious odors, latex, or musculoskeletal injuries.
