Job Summary:

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an experienced General Dentist to provide direct dental care to patients on mobile dental vans and in dental centers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competency in assessment, treatment, and communication appropriate to patient age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Full Range of Dental Care Services: Offer a wide range of dental services to patients, including routine cleanings, fillings, extractions, and restorations.
  • Supervise Dental Team: Supervise dental assistants, hygienists, and residents, assessing their competencies and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Attend Meetings and Functions: Attend hospital and departmental meetings and functions to stay informed and contribute to the team.
  • Monitor Quality of Care: Monitor the quality of patient care through peer review and medical record quality.
  • Maintain Compliance: Maintain compliance with department policies regarding patient charting.
  • Create Learning Environment: Create a positive learning environment for dental residents.
  • Evaluate Residents: Evaluate residents' clinical learning and performance.
  • Establish Faculty-Resident Relationships: Establish positive faculty-resident relationships.
  • Implement Program Philosophy: Implement program philosophy and curriculum.
  • Participate in Program Promotion: Participate in activities promoting the dental residency program.
  • Serve as Professional Role Model: Serve as a professional role model and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
  • Maintain Infection Control: Monitor and comply with infection control and safety procedures.
