Job OverviewNovo Logistics is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Ardmore, Oklahoma. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing complex and precision welding techniques in the design, fabrication, and welding of parts and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret technical documents and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications and operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- One (1) or more years of experience in a related field.
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program required.
- Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse work instructions, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to lift, move, and transport up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods or for the duration of shift (8-12 hour shifts).
