Position Overview:

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in delivering professional nursing care to patients under the guidance of Registered Nurses, Providers, and the Practice Manager.


Key Responsibilities:


- Engage in patient care through in-person visits, telephone communications, and telehealth services under the supervision of Providers, adhering to professional standards and state regulations.

- Execute tasks delegated by Providers and Registered Nurses, including administering medications, treatments, immunizations, conducting point-of-care tests, and managing specimens, all within the scope of practice defined by state laws.

- Gather and assess patient history and health-related information, effectively communicating findings to Providers.

- Relay Provider instructions and care plans to patients.

- Accurately document care activities in medical records, including procedures, interventions, patient communications, and test results.


Candidate Profile:
- High school diploma or GED is required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience of three years as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Certifications:
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- One year of experience in a medical practice or healthcare environment is preferred.
