Quality Inspector Role

We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Alpine Solutions Group in Durham, NC. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of products
  • Use calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges, micrometers, height gauges, MicroVu, profilometer, and CMM to inspect products
  • Read and interpret specifications and engineering blueprints
  • Maintain full traceability of product, parts, and in-process items
  • Accurately document process steps in accordance with quality system regulations
  • Prepare reports for non-conforming product
  • Collaborate with production team to determine final disposition of non-conforming product
  • Review fulfillment packing slips and packaged product for accuracy of quantity, lot assignment, correct parts, etc.
  • Assist in Shipping, Receiving, and Fulfillment, as needed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of quality inspection/QC knowledge experience
  • Strong background in inspection techniques and metrology
  • Ability to read drawing blueprints and attention to detail
  • Measuring physical components/manufactured components in a manufacturing facility
  • CMM experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vision-systems experience (camera-based inspection system)
  • Medical device experience
  • Associates degree

Work Environment:

This role will be onsite 5 days a week, working the 2-10pm shift, and will be eligible for benefits, annual bonus, and a pay differential for the shift worked.
