We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Alpine Solutions Group in Durham, NC. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections of products
- Use calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges, micrometers, height gauges, MicroVu, profilometer, and CMM to inspect products
- Read and interpret specifications and engineering blueprints
- Maintain full traceability of product, parts, and in-process items
- Accurately document process steps in accordance with quality system regulations
- Prepare reports for non-conforming product
- Collaborate with production team to determine final disposition of non-conforming product
- Review fulfillment packing slips and packaged product for accuracy of quantity, lot assignment, correct parts, etc.
- Assist in Shipping, Receiving, and Fulfillment, as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of quality inspection/QC knowledge experience
- Strong background in inspection techniques and metrology
- Ability to read drawing blueprints and attention to detail
- Measuring physical components/manufactured components in a manufacturing facility
- CMM experience is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vision-systems experience (camera-based inspection system)
- Medical device experience
- Associates degree
Work Environment:
This role will be onsite 5 days a week, working the 2-10pm shift, and will be eligible for benefits, annual bonus, and a pay differential for the shift worked.
