Job Summary:
Physician Empire is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to lead our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide therapeutic leadership and medical supervision for our 24/7 community-based inpatient and outreach level of care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide site-specific medical supervision and leadership to ensure optimum care for individuals served by the program in a recovery model.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that address co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Work closely with the Senior Vice President of Adult Services, Program Director, and nursing, residential, and counseling staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of medication-assisted treatment options for substance abuse and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records using electronic health records and word processing systems.
Requirements:
- Medical license in Massachusetts required.
- Controlled substance registration application and a federal DEA certificate needed.
- Strong collaborative leadership skills and ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and word processing systems.
Working Environment:
Our ACT program serves individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders who have involvement with the local criminal justice system. The program is designed to provide intensive, community-based services to up to 50 individuals at a time.
