Job Summary

Core Medical-Perm is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radioactive materials to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
  • Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and positron emission tomography (PET) scanners.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Conduct quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • 2+ years of experience in nuclear medicine technology, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand for long periods of time.
