Job Description

This role involves overseeing field activities associated with project construction and commissioning, including supervision of electrical and mechanical subcontractors. Strong communication and leadership skills are required to ensure timely work completion and budget management.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain liaison with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to facilitate construction activities.
  • Establish project objectives, performance standards, and planning to minimize human error factors.
  • Provide leadership for all field-related MEP mission-critical work activities and coordinate with project managers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure project progress is communicated to stakeholders throughout the life cycle.
  • Detailed understanding of MEP systems, including sizing, costs, scheduling, quality control, system start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts, including progress billing, rental equipment, income, and expenses.
  • Implement safety programs, risk management, training, and quality control measures to maintain a secure and respectful working environment.
  • Verify extra charges from subcontractors/suppliers are reasonable and work is correctly executed.
  • Facilitate weekly project progress and safety meetings with subcontractor representatives and coordinate upcoming work.
  • Ensure project closeout process is finalized, demobilize resources, and transition the project to the client.
