Position Summary

The Morning Meal Coordinator is tasked with ensuring the seamless and effective operation of breakfast services while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. This role requires familiarity with hotel-brand standards, guest expectations, and local knowledge. The position reports directly to the General Manager.

Daily Responsibilities

The essential functions and responsibilities of this role encompass the following tasks. This list is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as necessary:

  1. Core Responsibilities
    • Warmly and professionally greet all guests in the breakfast area.
    • Consistently deliver friendly and attentive service to guests during breakfast hours.
    • Maintain a welcoming and tidy environment in the breakfast area.
    • Ensure proper setup of the dining area; clear, clean, and reset tables as guests depart.
    • Organize and replenish the breakfast buffet in an appealing manner.
    • Clean and sanitize all equipment, tables, and surfaces in both kitchen and dining areas.
    • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors in kitchen and dining areas.
    • Properly store and date all food items.
    • Daily clean out of refrigerators and reach-in coolers; label, date, and rotate items.
  2. Job Duties
    • Engage with guests courteously, addressing inquiries and ensuring their needs are met.
    • Solicit feedback from guests to identify areas for enhancement and relay compliments to the team.
    • Respond graciously to guest concerns or requests, escalating to management when necessary.
    • Monitor food quality, ensuring all items meet or exceed established standards.
    • Prepare food in accordance with brand standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
    • Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation practices in food handling and service.
    • Regularly clean and sanitize all serving areas, utensils, and equipment to meet health and safety standards.
    • Collaborate with kitchen staff, housekeeping, and other team members for seamless operations.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address challenges and share insights.

Performance Evaluation

Qualifications

  • Possess or be capable of obtaining Food Handling certification or other required certifications.
  • Availability for early morning shifts is essential.
  • Willingness to work on weekends and holidays.
