Job Overview

We are seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team at HRU Technical Resources. This role is essential in supporting our Supply Chain operations through various administrative and procurement functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute administrative and procurement tasks to support the shipyard's Supply Chain team.
  • Serve as a communication bridge within the Supply Chain department to collect, organize, and present information effectively.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities, including data entry and issue resolution, such as reconciling invoices, initiating supplier onboarding, and managing purchase order closures using ERP systems.
  • Compile and prepare comprehensive reports at the yard level utilizing various tools, including PowerPoint and web-based applications.
  • Conduct organized data entry and collection to assist with administrative tasks, ensuring accurate data management and research for deliverables.
  • Oversee the closure of Purchase Order Programs and manage procurements within the designated authority.
  • Support various administrative functions, including drafting NDAs, RFQ packages, and internal documentation responses.
  • Synthesize information from multiple sources for diverse audiences and perform necessary validation checks.
Required Skills:
  • Background in Supply Chain or Business Administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong capability in managing data entry, maintenance, and reporting.
  • Adept at adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent computer skills for navigating multiple databases.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience or equivalent qualifications.
Preferred Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in Supply Chain management.
  • Background in Defense (DoD) sectors.
  • Experience in Ship Repair or the Maritime industry.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS regulations.
Education Requirements:
