Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading and managing programs under the Department of Education (DOE) and Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) grants.

As a SMART Instructor, you will plan and conduct well-rounded programs in youth development, implementing Character & Leadership Development, Education (Homework Help) & Career Development, Health & Life Skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement weekly program plans
  • Mentor Club members to achieve their full potential
  • Track statistical information for DOE and/or DJJ grants
  • Assist with equipment orientation and maintenance
  • Promote interest in assigned programs
  • Manage supplies and materials
  • Monitor attendance and ensure completion of programs
  • Plan recognition programs for youth
  • Establish disciplinary rules and procedures
  • Recruit Club members for programs
  • Implement club policies and maintain a clean environment
Requirements
  • AA Degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong technology skills for instruction and communication
  • Experience working with youth and in education preferred
  • CPR certification required

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
