About the Role:
* Deliver radiation treatments to cancer patients under the guidance of a Radiation Oncologist
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
* Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in radiation oncology
Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional patient care, addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of cancer patients
* Operate complex medical equipment with precision, ensuring accurate delivery of radiation therapy
* Participate in clinical and/or didactic instruction and evaluation of Radiation Therapist (RTT) Students
Qualifications:
* Associate Degree from an approved program in Radiologic Technology with completion of approved curriculum in Radiation Therapy
* Board certification in Radiation Therapy, or eligibility to sit for the exam. Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists
* Commonwealth of KY Radiation Operator Certificate
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
* A minimum of 6 months of prior experience as a Radiation Therapist
