The Kennedy Collective is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Janitorial Worker. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and sanitized environment for our esteemed government clients.
Role Responsibilities:
The Janitorial Worker will be responsible for independently cleaning designated areas within various buildings, utilizing industry-standard methods, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of bathrooms, office spaces, communal areas, staircases, windows, shelving, doors, auditoriums, classrooms, kitchens, and cafeterias.
- Perform cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, buffing floors, stripping and waxing floors, and emptying waste and recycling bins.
- Engage in exterior maintenance tasks such as snow removal, sanding walkways, and managing outdoor waste.
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment, including scrubbers, burnishers, and power washers.
- Ensure compliance with all contract specifications while maintaining efficiency in work.
- Manage and restock cleaning supplies and materials as needed.
- Complete additional duties as assigned to meet contract obligations.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a High School Diploma and ideally have one year of experience in custodial or maintenance roles. Flexibility to work in various environments and weather conditions is essential.
Potential candidates must be prepared to work a varied schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and exhibit a proactive approach to their responsibilities. A comprehensive federal and state background check is required, and candidates may need to pass a Department of Defense Federal Clearance Check based on assignment.
Possession of a vehicle during shifts may be necessary for travel to different work locations, depending on the assignment.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to handle and utilize equipment and materials, including frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing. Candidates should be capable of moving weights up to 30 lbs. consistently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
