We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate BHUC Clinician to join our team at Common Ground. As a key member of our crisis intervention team, you will play a vital role in providing assessments, interventions, and support to individuals and families in crisis.
Key Responsibilities- Provide triage and assessment in our Virtual BHUC, including collateral contacts with core provider agencies and other stakeholders.
- Conduct crisis interventions and assessments that are trauma-informed and recovery-oriented.
- Assess crisis and individual/family needs to determine required services.
- Develop plans of care in collaboration with individuals/families, based on strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.
- Document all required and collected information in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) using collaborative documentation.
- Act as an advocate for the needs and rights of individuals/families, including service providers and community agents.
- Complete mental health assessments and recommend plans of care for private/public insurance contracted with BHUC.
- Make referrals to community resources and work closely with other Common Ground programs, providers, and stakeholders.
- Provide feedback in clinical and diagnostic matters to management staff.
- Master's Degree in a Human Service field.
- Professional licensure in the State of Michigan as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Psychiatrist (LP).
- Minimum one (1) year experience in treating or working with disabilities.
- Preferred Certification in one of the following areas: CAADC, CAC-R, CCDP, or CCDP-D.
- Experience providing crisis intervention and counseling services.
- Experience working with a broad range of age groups and disabilities, including children.
- Experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder.
- Standard met for Mental Health Professional and Child Mental Health Professional.
