Job Title: Fire Inspector

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections of buildings, properties, and oil & gas wells to ensure compliance with fire codes, building codes, and other relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct annual fire and life safety inspections of buildings, properties, and oil & gas wells
  • Inspect fire protection systems, including fire alarms, fire sprinklers, generators, fire pumps, elevators, and special life safety systems
  • Assist with other fire code enforcement activities, including plan review and code interpretation
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports and resolve compliance problems with various parties
  • Participate in pre-development and/or pre-construction meetings with members of the design community
  • Review basic site, tenant finish out, and other less complex plans to determine compliance with applicable codes
  • Issue legal orders related to the enforcement of the fire code
  • Perform community outreach, public education, and other risk-reduction activities as requested
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Basic Fire Inspector Certificate and Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Basic Plans Review Certificate required
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
