Job Summary
We seek a skilled Inpatient Hematology BMT Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. As a key member of our staff, you will provide exceptional patient care for adult hematologic-oncology patients undergoing blood and marrow transplants, as well as CAR T-cell therapy.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, manage transfusions, and oversee patients with complex medical needs in a supportive environment.
- Plan individualized patient care using an interdisciplinary approach.
- Maintain a safe therapeutic environment and identify nursing problems related to patient needs.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and respond to requests for information or follow-up on patient issues.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Oncology experience is preferred but not required.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider or equivalent required.
