- Participate in the assessment of patients and refer them to early intervention services when necessary.
- Assist children and families in adjusting to the hospital environment and maintaining a healthy attitude towards illness.
- Participate in professional associations and represent the hospital at meetings.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to the Child Life Program.
- Completion of a Child Development education program or internship.
- Eligibility for professional Child Life Specialist Certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Education, or a closely related field.
