We address immediate needs through the provision of food, clothing, and healthcare, while equipping individuals with the necessary tools to cultivate hope, dignity, and enhanced independence.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a full-time Family Services Clinician II to enhance our Family Services department.

Compensation:

We provide a competitive salary and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture and core values. The salary range for this role is $71,510.40 to $84,021.60, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

The Family Services Clinician II will deliver clinical support to single adults, youth, and families participating in our housing programs. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Clinical Director in the development and oversight of clinical programming.
  • Providing consultation, training, and support to Family Services staff.
  • Offering case-specific consultation to team members.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Clinical Officer or designated representative to provide leadership on mental health and psychiatric matters.
  • Supervising or engaging in internships and preceptorships associated with the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

Experience in addressing domestic violence, substance abuse, and youth behavioral issues is essential.

Work Schedule:

This position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (40 hours per week) and requires availability for virtual community meetings in the evenings. A hybrid/telework option is available for one remote day per week.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Three years of post-clinical licensure experience.
  • Experience providing services to low-income families.
  • Knowledge of clinical challenges faced by individuals and families transitioning from homelessness to supportive housing.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Five to seven years of post-clinical licensure experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Two or more years providing services to low-income families.
  • Fluency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
Licensure/Certification:

Must possess LICSW or LPC licensure in Washington, DC with the Department of Health, along with CPR certification for both infants and adults.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong understanding of mental health, substance abuse, and trauma-related issues and treatments for both adults and children. Proficiency in applying evidence-based approaches to behavioral health care, including:

  • Motivational Enhancement Therapy
  • Trauma-Informed Care
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to engage with diverse cultural backgrounds. Experience in administering and evaluating diagnostic assessments and screening tools is also required.

Expected Contributions:

Clinical Treatment Services:

  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling and therapy at assigned sites.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Refer residents to Core Service Agencies, Psychiatrists, and other clinical support services as needed.
  • Document all clinical encounters in charts and/or electronic medical records post-session.
  • Conduct clinical screenings and assessments to determine diagnoses.
  • Consult with Case Managers and Program Managers at designated Family Services program sites.
  • Assist in educating and training program staff on clinical issues.
  • Compile monthly program statistics from designated Family Services program sites.

Supervisory & Administrative:

  • In collaboration with the Chief Clinical Officer and Senior Director, ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Supervise clinical interns across all Family Services programs.
  • Assess and onboard new interns as necessary.
  • Assist in overseeing all clinical programming for Family Services.
