We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Operations Support Specialist to provide operational, administrative, analytical, and technical support within our business. This role involves assisting with scheduling, task management, inter-departmental communication, safety, customer inquiries, and various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with scheduling work, briefing employees, and completing assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any arising issues.
  • Provide support in safety management, customer inquiries, and data analysis and reporting.
  • Handle service and material procurement, invoice processing, payroll, accounting, and budgeting tasks.
  • Maintain material inventory and act as a first-level resource for issues related to customer service, billing, wastewater supply, regulatory matters, etc.
  • Conduct operational data analysis and generate reports to support business decisions.
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of standard business practices, including basic accounting and budgeting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and email management systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP, PowerPlant, MapCall, and Coupa is preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems like My Time and knowledge of the wastewater or utility industry is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and across departments.
Education and Experience
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree in business or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting water/wastewater operations.
