The CFO will act as a crucial advisor to the CEO, offering insights on prospective school acquisitions and crafting financial forecasts to facilitate strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight:
    • Manage all financial activities, including accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for both the corporate office and individual educational institutions.
    • Establish and enforce financial policies and procedures to ensure robust internal controls and adherence to regulations.
    • Track cash flow, manage investments, and optimize financial resources to align with the organization's objectives.
    • Assist in payroll processing in collaboration with our outsourced HR partners to ensure alignment with budgetary forecasts.
  • Strategic Financial Planning:
    • Collaborate closely with the CEO to formulate and implement the organization’s financial strategy.
    • Deliver financial analysis and insights to inform decision-making, including assessing potential school acquisitions and growth opportunities.
    • Create financial models and projections to outline strategic growth pathways for existing and prospective schools.
  • Budget Development and Forecasting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, partnering with school directors to compile and consolidate budgets.
    • Prepare and present regular financial forecasts to the CEO, highlighting variances and suggesting corrective measures.
    • Ensure that budgets align with the strategic priorities and objectives of the organization.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Generate accurate and timely financial reports for the CEO and other stakeholders.
    • Guarantee compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Financial Consultation:
    • Act as a principal advisor to the CEO on financial matters, providing insights and recommendations to support organizational growth and sustainability.
    • Conduct thorough due diligence and financial evaluations for potential school acquisitions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Offer financial guidance and support to school directors and department heads, promoting a culture of financial accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Experience within the education sector is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to various school locations as necessary.
