About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Mental Health Tech to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a Behavioral Mental Health Tech, you will play a critical role in providing safe and effective patient care under the direction of our experienced Program Directors and Unit Charge Nurses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing direct patient care and participate in creating a safe and therapeutic environment for patients/residents.
  • Mentor new hires and students in unit routines and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned and act as a role model to patients/residents.
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license in good standing (strongly preferred)
  • CPR certification (offered on-site)
  • Handle With Care certification (offered on-site)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition
  • Good communication skills and ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Basic clerical skills and experience with office equipment
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to accept feedback
