Job Title: Lifeguard Coordinator - Aquatics Facility

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lifeguard Coordinator to join our team at Broward County, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons, supervising lifeguards, and overseeing the operations of our aquatics facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure patron safety and well-being by enforcing safety rules and regulations
  • Supervise and train lifeguards to ensure they are equipped to respond to emergencies
  • Oversee the daily operations of the aquatics facilities, including pool maintenance and equipment management
  • Develop and implement aquatics programs and events
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a certified lifeguard and in the implementation of aquatics activities
  • 6 months of lead work/supervisory experience
  • Jeff Ellis & Associates certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Jeff Ellis Lifeguard Instructor License
  • Jeff Ellis Program Coordinator License
  • AFO (Aquatic Facility Operator) Certification
  • CPRP and/or CPRE Certification
  • ServSafe Food Managers Certificate
