A minimum of 12-18 months of prior work experience as a medical assistant, nursing assistant, or patient care associate is preferred, particularly in an outpatient clinical setting. You should also have current certification as a medical assistant (MA) or equivalent and be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Additional requirements include the ability to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and adjust to changing situations.
