Cloud-Based Software Engineering Lead

As a Cloud-Based Software Engineering Lead at Capital One, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers working on diverse technology projects. Additionally, you will stay on top of tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor other engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of developers on cloud-based projects
  • Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions
  • Utilize programming languages like Python, SQL, Node, Go, Java, and Scala
  • Stay on top of tech trends and experiment with new technologies
  • Mentor other engineers

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Python, Go, Node.js, Java, or Scala
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
  • 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
  • 1+ years of people management experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
