Job Title: ICU Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Nurse to join our team at Woodland Heights Medical Center. As an ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in our 42-bed ICU unit.

Job Summary:

The ICU Nurse will evaluate assigned patients, plan, implement, and document nursing care. They will assist physicians during examinations and procedures, perform various patient tests, and administer medications within the scope of their practice. The ICU Nurse will also promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of their practice.
  • Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Certified as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
