We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sargent & Lundy, L.L.C. as a key member of our Nuclear Power Plant Systems Design team.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems for nuclear power plants, including preparation and review of modification packages, functional mechanical drawings, and engineering analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technical specifications, procurement documents, and vendor bid evaluations.
- Develop engineering cost estimates for client-requested work scopes and lead engineering project teams.
- Interface with clients and present engineering tasks and status at client office and/or plant site locations.
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the power industry.
- Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
- PE license is beneficial, but not required.
