Physical Therapy Assistant Role

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Per Diem (PRN) Physical Therapy Assistant at The Arbors in Rusk, Texas.

This position offers a chance to be part of our in-house team of skilled professionals who deliver person-centered care and strive for positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments aimed at relieving pain, improving or restoring function, and promoting healing under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • To provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions as per physician orders and PT guidance.
  • To respond promptly to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist.
  • To implement and modify patient physical therapy plans of treatment with PT supervision.
  • To measure and record patients' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
  • To monitor patient responses to treatment interventions and adjust treatment approaches and directives as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
  • To offer clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
  • To ensure thorough and timely documentation that complies with company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
  • To attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Required Skills:

  • Prior experience in SNF/Long-term care is preferred.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices.
  • Familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage patients with diverse personalities.

Requirements:

  • A valid Texas license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • In good standing with all relevant regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
