About the Role

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is a leading global law firm that advises clients on significant transactions and disputes. Our exceptional teams craft and deploy creative legal strategies that are meticulously tailored to every matter, however complex or high-stakes.

The Directories Marketing Specialist will support the firm's participation in industry directories and surveys with the goal of increasing external recognition for the firm and its lawyers. This role reports to the Associate Director of Directories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directory Submissions: Draft and submit directory entries for the firm, practices, and individuals to various industry publications.
  • Calendar Management: Organize a calendar system to track and manage deadlines for directory submissions and surveys.
  • Profile Creation: Assist in creating individual and firm profiles for directories, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Results Tracking: Monitor results and draft or post results write-ups to the firm's website or intranet.
  • Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks, such as managing invoices, booking awards tables, and processing reprints.
  • Scheduling Interviews: Assist with scheduling directory interviews and coordinating logistics.
  • Proofreading: Proofread submissions quickly and accurately to ensure error-free content.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure seamless workflow and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications
  • Education: University degree, preferably in Communications, English, or Journalism.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in directories-related legal marketing or communications is required.
  • Law Firm Experience: Prior experience in a law firm or other professional service firm is preferred.
  • Chambers Experience: Chambers-related experience is a plus.
