We are seeking a motivated and diligent Medical Assistant. This role presents an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their careers in outpatient mental health settings. In this position, you will collaborate closely with mental health professionals in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gathering medical and psychiatric histories
  • Addressing patient inquiries
  • Operating TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) equipment for depression and OCD treatments (training will be provided)
  • Monitoring vital signs
  • Assisting providers during ketamine therapy sessions
  • Coordinating patient appointments
  • Managing phone communications and scheduling
  • Educating patients on medications, treatment plans, and other instructions
  • Processing prescription refills as directed
  • Handling insurance prior authorizations
  • Opportunity to enhance skills through learning innovative therapeutic modalities such as TMS and Ketamine therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Current Medical Assistant, CPR, and BLS certifications required
  • IV experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience as a medical assistant is advantageous
  • Familiarity with medical office management systems and procedures
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Service-oriented with social perceptiveness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software

Physical Demands:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
  • Capability to navigate and access various departments within the organization’s facilities
