Academic Instructor

We are seeking an Academic Instructor to join our team in the Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at the University of Minnesota. This is a part-time, temporary position that will involve teaching undergraduate or graduate students in assigned courses, holding office hours to assist and advise students, and participating in relevant departmental meetings.

• Teach courses in speech-language hearing sciences, including undergraduate and graduate-level classes
• Hold office hours to provide individualized support and guidance to students
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials

To be eligible for this position, you must possess a Master's degree in Speech-Pathology or related field, certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Doctor of Audiology and certification in Audiology (CCC-A), and at least two years of professional experience beyond the Clinical Fellowship Year in a hospital or school setting.

You should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to deliver high-quality instruction to a diverse student body.

• College-level teaching experience and supervision of students in a clinical setting
• Previous experience providing educational experiences to healthcare providers
• Knowledge and experience providing clinical care to pediatric and adult patients
