Job Title: Stepdown Nurse

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown Nurse to join our team. As a Stepdown Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Stepdown Nurse to work in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital in Hazard, KY. The ideal candidate will have experience in stepdown and intermediate care nursing, with a valid RN license in the state where they will be practicing, BLS certification, and Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide and coordinate patient care with other health team members
  • Monitor patients' responses to interventions and report outcomes
  • Administer medications as ordered with appropriate documentation
  • Transport patients as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • One to three years experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
  • Other certifications may be required for this position
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
  • Physical Abilities: Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
