Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishroom Transporter to join our team at Northside Hospital. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automatic dishwashing equipment and ensure that it is properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Sort and deliver soiled dishes, utensils, and trays to the dishroom, and return clean items to their designated storage areas.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in the kitchen area, including mopping floors, wiping down tables and counters, and emptying garbage cans.
  • Deliver food and supplies to patient care and child care areas, and restock cafeteria supplies and condiments.
  • Assist with unloading and storing food and supplies, and help other kitchen personnel with routine tasks such as gathering utensils and cleaning work areas.
  • Practice proper safety techniques and report any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injuries to your manager.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.

Work Schedule

11am-7:30pm, with weekend requirements.
