Job SummaryThe Maintenance Lead Technician will provide direction to a team of technicians, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance of equipment are performed in compliance with our safety standards and applicable federal and state regulations. This role requires expertise in chassis and refuse bodywork, including hydraulic, electrical, and heating and air conditioning system maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain expert knowledge of vehicle components and systems, with the ability to perform complex repair and maintenance functions.
- Provide direction to technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of repair and maintenance work.
- Inspect repairs done by third-party vendors to ensure compliance with our safety procedures and federal and state regulations.
- Perform repair diagnostics on more complex matters and identify the source of malfunctions using electronic tools.
- Complete applicable company training programs and handle Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities as needed.
- At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
- Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in various heavy truck and automotive systems.
- ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) and Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License are a plus but not required.
