PRN Healthcare is seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Specialist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the performance of cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and administering medications as needed.
- Assist the physician during procedures, including monitoring the patient's vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures, including medications administered, vital signs, and any complications that may arise.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Current certification as a Catheterization Laboratory Specialist or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain a calm and composed demeanor in high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
