Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced RN Manager to lead our Emergency Department team at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the activities, workflow, and nursing resources of assigned nursing units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit.
  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
  • Monitor and adhere to budget, approving or monitoring expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification and 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of Emergency Room experience.
  • Supervisor or above experience is a must.
  • Service in a Level I Trauma and Certified Stroke Center.
