We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Urogyn team at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Key Responsibilities- Obtain patient consent for care and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assess patient health history, chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors
- Provide patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations
- Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administer prescribed medications, and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response
- Delegate tasks as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act and refer to/consult with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns
- Educate patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions
- Document patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes
- Track quality assurance data and monitor for acute and chronic care management
- Maintain/review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information
- Post tests and examination results
- Respond to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform other duties assigned
- Must be an actively licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
- Minimum of one year professional nursing experience
- Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Prior clinic experience
