Job Title: Credentialing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Credentialing Specialist to join our team at Colonial Behavioral Health. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of provider information and credentialing documentation.

Job Summary

The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for performing duties related to credentialing agency staff with private insurances and managed care organizations. This includes assisting with other credentialing functions, such as data collection, tracking, and maintaining provider information and credentialing documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and complete applications for contracting and credentialing while ensuring accuracy.
  • Collect and track data, including licenses and liability coverage.
  • Maintain provider information and credentialing documentation.
  • Update databases and manage web portals.
  • Provide education to staff on the credentialing process.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess analytical skills and attention to detail. You must also be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and interact with clients, coworkers, and the public in a pleasant, tactful, and courteous manner.

A strong ability to communicate with provider networks is also essential. Work experience in behavioral health or healthcare in an administrative setting is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and an associate degree in healthcare or business is preferred.
