Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cafeteria Worker to join our team at the Waco Independent School District. As a Cafeteria Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a nutritious and well-balanced meal for our student population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals to students in a safe and sanitary environment
  • Operate kitchen equipment and follow production records to ensure efficient meal preparation
  • Assist with receiving and storage of food, equipment, and supplies
  • Maintain high safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Follow security procedures for cash handling and key control
  • Assist with special events and meet expectations of the school during schedule changes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid Texas driver's license or state-issued ID card
  • Possess or can obtain a food handler's card within 30 days
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively
Working Conditions
