  • Therapy Services: Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom.
  • IEP Meetings: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to goal setting and progress reviews.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and timely documentation, including assessment reports, therapy notes, and progress updates.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about current research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Training and Support: Offer training and support to teachers and staff on speech and language development and disorders.
Qualifications
  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology license.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Pupil Services License.
  • Experience: Experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
