Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit RN to join our team of travel nurses at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
  • Perform various medical procedures, including changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
  • Administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
  • Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
Requirements
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • 2+ years of experience in an acute care setting.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of patients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
